Celtics finally reveal Boston Celtics star player update on next summer

Jaylen Brown’s future with the Boston Celtics has been a source of anxiety in recent months, with mounting speculation that he would depart the organization next summer when he becomes a free agency.

Brown is the Celtics’ second-best player, and he appears to be their most dependable offensive threat in important games and under pressure.

However, according to Jared Weiss of The Athletic, both parties are working on a contract extension that would keep the talented wing in Boston for the foreseeable future.

Over the last few years, the Celtics have been considered one of the NBA’s elite teams, and Brown has been a huge reason why.

This past season, he established career highs in scoring (26.6 points a game), rebounding (6.9 boards a game), and shooting accuracy (49.1 percent from the field) while being named to his second All-Star team.

But for all their regular season success, the Celtics have failed to take home the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

They were defeated by the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals in 2022, and this spring, they were humiliated at home in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals by the seemingly weaker Miami Heat.

They made significant adjustments this offseason, as Marcus Smart and Danilo Gallinari were traded in exchange for the skilled but injury-prone Kristaps Porzingis.

Experts are divided on whether the move made Boston better, but it is evident that the squad sacrificed a lot of depth.

The Celtics will have more time to restructure their roster around Brown and co-star Jayson Tatum because they are both in their mid-20s.
