good news Green Bay Packers star were speaks on contract…

Over the past month, the Indianapolis Colts offense has suffered some setbacks. A month after Anthony Richardson suffered a season-ending injury, something went wrong in the wide receiver room on Sunday. The Colts are bringing in former top-5 pick Sammy Watkins for a workout in an attempt to potentially help with this .

Colts of Indianapolis working out Willie Watkins
The Buffalo Bills selected Watkins with the fourth overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He bounced around the league after a spell in Buffalo. Interims with the Chiefs, Packers, Rams, and Ravens have all concluded in a similar manner. He is just not able to stay on the field. Despite his career being plagued by injuries, teams find him to be a desirable addition due to his talent and experienced leadership. It’s merely a workout, and the team is probably attempting to determine Watkins’ level of health.

Little Downside

At this point for the Colts, there is little downside to bringing Watkins in. The worst-case scenario is that he doesn’t work out and the team is right back to where they started. The best-case scenario is that he has an impact on the players around him and can help the young team develop. The team should definitely temper expectations as Watkins has never been able to play a full season it seems but as of this point, the team only needs him for half a season which might work out well.

Will the Indianapolis Colts end up signing Sammy Watkins? At this point it is unclear but it is clear that they are looking for help at the wide receiver position.
