NFL Mock Draft: Raiders, Bears, Giants, Patriots, Packers, and QBs in the top ten…

A few NFL fan bases still have realistic hopes of making the playoffs, but the majority of them are already looking forward to the offseason at this point in the season. It seems like there will be a ton of options in the 2024 NFL Draft class deserving of first-round consideration if your favorite NFL team decides to trade quarterbacks after this season.

Five signal-callers are selected in the top 10 of Pro Football Network’s most recent 2024 NFL mock draft, all of which have intriguing landing spots. First pick Caleb Williams of USC goes to the Chicago Bears at No. 2 overall, followed by Drake Maye of North Carolina at No. 4 to the New York Giants. J.J. McCarthy of Michigan (No. 5 overall, New England Patriots), Shedeur Sanders of Colorado (No. 6 overall, Green Bay Packers), and Bo Nix of Oregon (No. 8 overall, Las Vegas Raiders) round out the run.No, Caleb Williams will NEVER get an NFL ownership stake in the draft - SBNation.com

Jordan Love in Green Bay, Mac Jones in New England, Daniel Jones in New York, and Justin Fields in Chicago are the four teams that still have relatively young quarterbacks who were selected in the first round. It would be obvious that things are changing if a top-10 pick was spent on a new quarterback, and all four of those passers would be looking for a new team in the offseason.

The Raiders obviously face an offseason of big changes after firing their head coach and general manager last week, and despite a potential gem in rookie Aidan O’Connell, it wouldn’t be shocking to see them target a top-tier quarterback prospect early in next year’s draft.

In this mock draft, two more quarterbacks are selected: Jayden Daniels of LSU replaces Kirk Cousins with the Minnesota Vikings at No. 20 overall, and Michael Penix Jr. of Washington, despite Sam Howell’s strong play thus far this season, goes to the Washington Commanders at No. 11 overall. This would surpass the previous first-round record set by the illustrious 1983 class, which included three Hall of Famers (John Elway, Jim Kelly, and Dan Marino), with seven quarterbacks among the projected top 32 picks.

Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is the No. 1 overall pick in this projection, teaming up with Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals. He’s joined in the top five by Alabama edge defender Dallas Turner (No. 3 overall, Chicago Bears). To check out the full seven-round mock draft at Pro Football Network, click here.
