Today at the City Ground, Nottingham Forest defeated Aston Villa 2-0, and Moussa Niakhate was declared the official Man of the Match.
Alongside Murillo, the defender started the match at the center of a back four. He was enormous the entire time, and then Morgan Gibbs-White and Anthony Elanga reacted.

Elanga did require a few words, but his brief French message was understood to mean “Oh, yes.”
Niakhate is commended by colleagues
For Forest to remain fit, Niakhate is vital. Willy Boly has done a good job filling in this season, and he will contribute as well, but on his day, the international is a different animal.
There appears to be a fair amount of harmony in the Forest locker room. Niakhate is one of the extremely talented players that Steve Cooper is extremely fortunate to have in his squad.
The fact that Niakhate still has some time on his side makes him frightening. As a central defender, he should still have many great years ahead of him at the young age of 27, so long may this form continue.
