Tottenham finally made shocking decision to sign £30.4m player permanently

According to CalcioMercatoWeb, Tottenham Hotspur have already chosen not to exercise their option to sign Dejan Kulusevski permanently this summer.

Kulusevski’s loan stay at Tottenham ends this summer, with the club having the option to make the signing permanent for £30.4 million (Fabrizio Romano).

According to several Italian publications, the North London club is hesitant to pay the aforementioned cost for the Swede this summer (Gazzetta dello Sport via SportWitness).

CMW.it have now gone a step further and added that the Lilywhites have not been convinced by Dejan Kulusevski‘s performances this season and have already decided that they will not ‘redeem him’ this summer.

The publication adds that the 23-year-old will thus return to Juventus this summer but with the Bianconeri also unwilling to keep him, he could be on the move once again.

The report says that AC Milan have expressed an interest in signing Kulusevski, with the Rossoneri said to have identified him as a potential replacement for Brahim Diaz.

However, it is explained that the former Atalanta star would first have to renew his contract before leaving the Allianz Stadium as his current deal in Turin is set to run out in 2024.

It is alleged that any switch to the San Siro for Kulusevski would have to be an initial loan deal with an option to buy.

Even if Tottenham deem the £30m fee for Kulusevski to be excessive, one would expect the club to sit down at the negotiating table with Juve to potentially reduce the fee.

I personally believe that the Swede would be a bargain at that price despite his recent struggles and I would be extremely surprised if the North London club do not activate the option.
