Latest Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive as Reds are claimed to have two more instalments to pay Corinthians for Murillo transfer

Nottingham Forest have reportedly paid the first of three instalments to Corinthians for Murillo’s services.

The Brazilian joined Forest this summer for a reported fee of €15million (about £12.8m). He put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal with the Reds, ending a four-year association with Corinthians.

The clubs reportedly decided to divide the cost into three installments. Brazilian news source UOL claims that Forest is thought to have made the €5 million first installment payment earlier this week.

Corinthians expect to receive the rest of the payments (€4m each) in March and December of next year. That would bring the total fee to €13m, with the remaining €2m said to be for performance-related bonuses.

Murillo, who has played for Trentside in three games so far under Steve Cooper, says he is content there. “There is a relationship of trust between me and the club and me and the manager as well,” he stated to Sky Sports.

Since I’ve been here, he and I have spoken frequently. I am thrilled to be working with him because he is an amazing manager.”
