Leeds: Farke could replace Harrison in one fell swoop for £29k.

Leeds United experienced a summer of transition after being relegated from the Premier League after three seasons at the top of the football pyramid.

The Whites hired German manager Daniel Farke to guide them back to the top flight, and it was a hectic transfer window at Elland Road.

Joe Rodon, Joel Piroe, Glen Kamara, Ilia Gruev, Djed Spence, Sam Byram, Karl Darlow, Jaidon Anthony, and Ethan Ampadu joined the manager’s squad.

However, the ex-Norwich City manager also lost a slew of first-team options, including Robin Koch, Max Wober, Jack Harrison, Luis Sinisterra, and Rodrigo, who all left on loan or permanently.

Leeds lost a huge goal threat from wide when they allowed Harrison to join Everton on loan with the option to buy, and Dan James, who has scored once in nine Championship appearances this season, is unlikely to fill that void.

Farke may need to enter the market in January to replace the ex-Manchester City winger, and Amad Diallo might be the ideal candidate.

Were Leeds interested in signing Amad Diallo this summer?
The Mirror stated that during the summer transfer window, the Whites were interested in signing the Manchester United forward on loan for the 2023/24 season.

He spent the 2022/23 season on loan with Sunderland, and Leeds were looking to add a proven player at this level to their team after being relegated from the Premier League.

However, the Red Devils’ pre-season knee injury put any temporary move on hold, and the Whites were unable to complete a swoop for the dynamic attacker.

TEAMtalk recently revealed that Diallo will be available for a loan move in January after recuperating from his fitness issue.

According to the report, United are now willing to listen to bids for the Ivory Coast international, and Sunderland are optimistic of bringing him back to the Stadium of Light.

This means that Leeds have a chance of retaining his services for the second half of the season if they can persuade him to forego a reunion with Tony Mowbray on Wearside in order to move to Yorkshire.

If they are successful in finding a new left-footed goalscoring winger, they will be able to move on.

Harrison scored how many goals for Leeds?
Over the course of five full seasons at the club, the English magician scored 34 goals in 206 appearances in all competitions.

He only scored 10 goals in his first two Championship seasons combined under Marcelo Bielsa, but he quickly developed into a reliable scoring option from wide positions in the Premier League.

Harrison has 16 top-flight goals and nine assists in the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons combined, and then had five goals and seven assists in 36 league appearances last season.
