Barcelona have reached an agreement with Tottenham to sign 28-year-old defender this summer

Barcelona is still hoping to achieve an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur worth roughly £8.6 million this summer in order to offload Clement Lenglet.

According to Sport, Tottenham have made an offer of £4.3 million for the Frenchman after he spent a year on loan with them.

After spending the season in North London, Clement Lenglet’s future remained uncertain. Tottenham put his name on the retained list and announced his departure. However, it appears like the 28-year-old has a chance of returning.

According to Sport, the Barcelona management believes that Spurs announcing his exit was a ploy to reduce the cost of signing him permanently.

Barcelona had originally requested £12.9 million. Tottenham, on the other hand, wants to spend a lot less for the center-back.

It remains to be seen whether a compromise can be found. However, Sport reports that the Catalan giants remain hopeful that the two clubs would agree on a cost of £8.6 million (€10 million).
