Tottenham in serious negotiation with Juventus to sign their extensive defender this summer

Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a careful eye on Gleison Bremer’s situation at Juventus, according to The Telegraph.

Bremer has had a decent debut season at the Allianz Stadium after joining from Torino for €50 million (£42.8 million) last summer.

However, CalcioMercato stated a few weeks ago that Juventus might be willing to cash in on the centre-back since they need to sell some of their assets to balance their books.

According to the source, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid have already engaged with the Brazilian’s representatives about a possible summer transfer.

The Telegraph has now confirmed Spurs’ interest in Bremer, reporting that the Lilywhies have selected the Juventus star as one of the choices to reinforce their backline.

It is stated that the 26-year-old’s future at the Bianconeri may be contingent on other outgoings this summer.

According to the publication, Bremer has several Premier League suitors, and all of them are ‘waiting to see’ if the Serie A giants will sell the player.

Bremer is an excellent center-back with the movement and speed to play in a high line.

However, he is not in the top tier in terms of ball control or vision, which is why I do not view him as a perfect fit for Postecoglou’s approach.

Juventus would almost certainly seek far more than £50 million for the 26-year-old, and I believe there are better possibilities on the market for that price bracket, such as Marc Guehi and Fikayo Tomori.
