Paul Merson lauded Nottingham Forest for producing “one of the season’s shock results” by defeating Chelsea. But he does not believe they can repeat that performance against champions Manchester City.
Steve Cooper’s Reds meet Pep Guardiola’s City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday (3pm), fresh off a 1-0 win over Chelsea in their last Premier League away fixture. Forest’s Anthony Elanga was on target at Stamford Bridge.
Forest have since drew 1-1 at the City Ground with Burnley before hosting City, who have a perfect record at the top of the table after five games and also triumphed in the Champions League in midweek.

“Nottingham Forest secured one of the season’s shock results by beating Chelsea earlier this month, but I don’t see anything other than a Manchester City win here,” Merson predicted for Sportskeeda.
