Nottingham Forest fan favorite Jason Lee has delivered a one-word response to a club post on Instagram. The club has paid tribute to Steve Cooper on the two-year anniversary of his appointment as the head coach.
It’s been a whirlwind two years for the Reds. Forest were rock bottom of the Championship when Cooper took charge and just two years later the club sits eighth in the Premier League.
Not only has the head coach revived the team on the green bit but he’s arguably the greatest asset at the club. He’s bought into the ethos and united everyone behind the scenes and in the stands.
Cooper has won 41 of his 96 games in charge of Forest. He’s only tasted defeat 23 times and currently has a win ratio of 42.7% with the club now in the Premier League.
Forest drew 1-1 with Burnley on Monday night. That result was a bit of a shame, although the Clarets did make life very difficult for the Reds during the contest.
This weekend the Reds head to treble-winners Manchester City. They will hope to be competitive at the Etihad Stadium and improve on the 6-0 defeat against the champions last season.
Lee reacts as Forest congratulate Cooper
These days the man who played as a striker for Forest in the nineties often finds himself on ambassador duties on Trentside. Today, he’s taken to Instagram to praise Cooper.
Lee did keep things pretty short and sweet. He simply posted the word ‘quality’ on the club’s official post and clearly, he’s a big fan of the current head coach.
Cooper will hopefully continue to have a long and successful tenure at the City Ground. It’s a while since a manager fetched up two years in charge. As a result, the head coach isn’t taking anything for granted.
Forest have made a good start to the season considering who they’ve had to play. Now, the challenge is to decide on a settled team and start winning matches on a more frequent basis.
