Last month, the Italian resigned as Tottenham’s managing director of football after his appeal against a two-and-a-half-year ban was denied by Italy’s highest sports court.
After being issued a 30-month suspension from football in January after his former club Juventus, where he worked for 11 years, were found guilty of fraudulent accounting by an Italian court, Paratici first stood down from his post at Spurs on March 31.
Steidten, a 43-year-old former defensive midfielder who was Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting director before leaving by mutual consent in March, has previously been connected with Manchester United and Liverpool (Football Insider).
The Guardian reported last year that Steidten puts a heavy focus on data when it comes to finding players.
