Brennan Johnson

Spurs have been linked with a late move for Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson. The Wales international could be the subject of a switch in the last few hours of the summer window.

Ange Postecoglou has made no secret of the fact that he would like another forward. Johnson can play anywhere across the front three, making him a useful addition to the Australian’s ranks.

According to Sky Sports, Spurs are set to hold further talks with Forest over a move. It is a deal that certainly has legs heading into the final day of business.

Postecoglou is also known to want to beef up his midfield. That could especially be the case if Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg joins Manchester United, as has been rumoured.

Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher has been linked with a switch across London. The 23-year-old has started each of the Blues’ three Premier League games this season but could be used to balance the books if an acceptable bid is made.

Lloyd Kelly

According to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are considering a surprise move for Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly in the final 24 hours. Another defender would be a welcome addition to Postecoglou’s squad, particularly if Eric Dier departs.

Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have enjoyed an excellent start to the season. But with Clement Lenglet having returned to Barcelona following his loan last season, there is a lack of depth at centre-back.

Kelly has vast Premier League experience with Bournemouth. It may be a deal Spurs look to explore on Friday.

Sergio Reguilon

In terms of outgoings, Sergio Reguilon’s future looks extremely uncertain. It is widely claimed that Manchester United are set to sign the Spaniard on loan, although the temporary agreement will include the option for it to be terminated in January.

United need a short-term option at left-back while Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia recover from their respective injuries. Reguilon, who spent last season at Atletico Madrid, is expected to join the Red Devils on Friday. He has completed his medical and will join Erik ten Hag’s side.

Eric Dier

Long-serving defender Eric Dier may also depart alongside Reguilon. But there remains uncertainty over a destination for his possible exit.

Sky even claims that the England man is prepared to see out the final year of his contract at Spurs. That could see him sat on the bench for the entire 2023-24 campaign.
