Goalkeeper Jose Sa make a deal with Wolves about signing a new contract

Goalkeeper Jose Sa is reportedly in advanced talks with Wolves over signing a new contract at the club.

In recent days Sa has been linked with a move away from the club.

These reports followed claims earlier in the summer that former manager Julen Lopetegui was looking to replace the 30-year-old.

But it would appear that is not the case at all.

In fact, it is now being suggested that Sa is in line to agree fresh terms.

According to the Telegraph’s John Percy, Sa is now in talks with Wolves about extending his contract

The journalist states that Sa had been a target for Nottingham Forest this summer.

Forest are owned by Evangelos Marinakis, who also owns Olympiacos – Sa’s former club.

But it would seem they are going to miss out on Sa.

He would become the second first-team player this summer to sign an extension at Wolves, after Max Kilman.

Good news with Jose Sa set to sign contract extension

It is encouraging to hear that Sa looks to be signing a new contract with Wolves.

He showed yesterday against Everton that he is still a great goalkeeper.

Last season he struggled in a lot of games, and was far off the standards he set in his first term.

He probably wins more points for Wolves than he loses.

If anything, Sa signing a new contract would be good for protecting his value.
