Burnley make first potential move to sign PL electrifying striker this morning

Burnley have made an initial offer of around £21.4million for PSV winger Johan Bakayoko, while there has still been no movement from Everton, according to Sacha Tavolieri.

The RMC Sport journalist shared via his Twitter account on 24 August that PSV are yet to respond to Burnley’s offer and are reluctant to let Bakayoko leave the club before the second leg of their Champions League clash with Rangers.

Tavolieri reported on 16 August that Everton were set to make an official approach for the winger, but no offer seems to have materialised as of yet, allowing Burnley to make the first move.

If Everton are serious, they need to move fast.

If the interest from Everton is as serious as the report claims, they will need to move quickly if they wish to secure Bakayoko’s signature this summer, with Burnley’s offer almost certain to be considered.

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany commands plenty of presence in the market for Belgian footballers, as he is one of the country’s best-ever products, and has been linked to a host of Belgian nationals this summer.

Bakayoko showed Everton exactly what they need him for in a classic Champions League performance against Rangers, as he wowed fans with his direct play and earned himself two assists. His dynamism on the wing was exactly what Everton lack in their side.

The Toffees are in desperate need of additions on the wing, as they have been forced to use Alex Iwobi and James Garner as makeshift options out wide, and with Sean Dyche now confirming Iwobi will be out for a number of weeks with a hamstring injury, that need has become even stronger.
