Eric Dier seems to have his game face on as he posted on Instagram ‘good days work’ and a picture of him in Tottenham Hotspur training.
The 29-year-old featured for Ange Postecoglou in pre-season, including during their final game against Barcelona, but since then, he hasn’t even made the matchday squad for Tottenham.
There doesn’t seem to be any injury or issues with Eric Dier, other than, the club’s new manager taking a preference to others.
Summer signing Micky van de Ven has started at the heart of the defence, alongside Cristian Romero, with Davinson Sanchez as the backup.
The latter has been heavily criticised over the years, including getting booed by the Spurs fans last season, but Postecoglou is still using him.
Nonetheless, this is what Dier posted on Instagram, as he continues to get left out of Postecoglou’s matchday squads.
‘Good days work,’ wrote the England international.
The End of the road for Dier?
It might well be because the signals that are being sent out, so far, aren’t great, from his own perspective, but a lot could change in a short space of time.
Yes, there is talk of him possibly leaving Spurs this summer, with a move across London being talked about, as well as playing for Celtic.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if Dier actually stays put, but then ends up moving in January when he has hardly played and then realises that his time is up.
