According to reports, another midfielder is in talks to join Endo at Liverpool, and a medical exam for Wataru Endo has been completed

Sofyan Amrabat is now a target for a move to Liverpool, who are looking for fresh midfielders.

This is according to a number of reports, which began in the Netherlands with statements from the newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.

According to them, Liverpool are ‘on track’ to complete the signing of Amrabat, with an agreement in place.

According to reports, Liverpool and Amrabat have reached an agreement on a transaction worth roughly €35 million (£30 million).

Fabrizio Romano reports there is no bid on the table at the moment, but Liverpool is ‘now informed’ about the requirements required to sign Amrabat.

According to Romano, Liverpool is still considering their possibilities for a holding midfielder, but Amrabat is definitely in the running.

According to TalkSPORT, Amrabat has now conducted negotiations with Liverpool about a shock move to Anfield.

Manchester United has been after Amrabat all summer, but Financial Fair Play concerns have prevented a deal from being completed.

Liverpool could make a move for Amrabat, which would be devastating for Erik ten Hag, who worked with Amrabat at FC Utrecht.

Liverpool are now ramping up their moves with Stuttgart midfielder Wataru Endo believed to be on the verge of joining the Reds.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Endo is now set to undergo a medical with Liverpool with an €18million (£15.5million) deal now in place.

Endo is an experienced holding midfielder at 30 and has impressed as Stuttgart captain in the Bundesliga.

Amrabat could now join too, giving Liverpool two battle-hardened midfielders to operate behind Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Neither Endo nor Amrabat will really set pulses racing and signing both would be cheaper than just signing Lavia, with Liverpool going down a different route now.

Maybe Liverpool just don’t think the value is there in the top holding midfielders now and would rather go with Endo and Amrabat as workhorses until the right long-term option comes along.
