However, Nixon feels that Newcastle’s interest has’moved the goalposts,’ with Hall perhaps making a U-turn and Chelsea considering selling.
This comes amid Newcastle’s interest in signing Marc Cucurella, with Eddie Howe reportedly looking for a left back.
Hall is a player Howe admires, and Newcastle may now launch a £30 million bid to capture him, perhaps deflating Palace’s aspirations.

That may make a move to St James’ Park more tempting than a loan move to Palace.
This would mean giving up his Chelsea career, but Hall, described as’very special’ by Pat Nevin, could be tempted to join Newcastle and do his family proud.
