Aston Villa considering a move to hijack Juventus target this summer

Unai Emery, manager of Aston Villa, has publicly acknowledged that the club is seriously contemplating recruiting Nicolo Zaniolo, a player who has also been pursued by Juventus.

Zaniolo has drawn interest from Juventus for several seasons, and fans had hoped for his arrival during the current transfer window.

Notably, the Italian star openly announced his desire to join Juventus this summer, which could have affected the club’s decision to pursue his purchase.

However, contrary to expectations, Juventus has not made a move for Zaniolo, implying that he could join ambitious Aston Villa.

The Premier League club is planning to compete in European competitions next season and has begun talks with Galatasaray about Zaniolo. This interest arose as a result of Emi Buendia’s unfortunate long-term injury, causing Villa to look for alternatives to improve their offensive options.

Journalists questioned Emery to confirm the news, and he responded, according to Tuttomercatoweb:

“Zaniolo is a midfielder, not a striker.” He is adaptable. He can play pointe, number 7 or number 10, and he’s one of those on our list with the qualities he possesses to assist us. He’s on our list, as are others.”

According to Juventus FC

Zanioli is one of Europe’s best Italian players, and he possesses all of the technique we would gain from if he were on our team.

However, Villa has the money and Emery is a manager who can deliver and make players better, so he could convince the player to move to England.
