Leicester making another great move to sign former Aston Villa youngster this weekend

Leicester City are in talks to sign Arjan Raikhy, who was released by Aston Villa at the end of last season.

The Foxes have been active this summer as they try to clinch promotion at the first time of asking after being relegated on the last day of last season.

The exits of James Maddison and Harvey Barnes have provided new manager Enzo Maresca with a sizable war chest to bolster his squad, with Harry Winks, Conor Coady, and Mads Hermansen already at the King Power.

Raikhy began his career in the West Bromwich Albion academy before moving to Aston Villa as a teenager.

The midfielder went on to be part of the club’s FA Youth Cup-winning squad in 2021, and spent much of the following campaign earning experience in the senior game on loan at National League clubs Stockport County and Grimsby Town.

Meanwhile, Manchester United defender Will Fish has returned to Hibernian on loan for the season.

Fish made his Premier League debut for United on the final day of the 2020-21 season, coming on as a substitute, but has yet to make another professional appearance for the club.

Last season, the England youth international made 21 appearances and scored three goals as Lee Johnson’s side finished fifth in the league.

The Scottish Premiership side were beaten 2-1 by Andorran minnows Inter d’Escaldes in the second qualifying round of the Europa Conference League on Thursday.
