After all the frustration Everton leading the race to sign Leicester machine this summer

Everton are interested in Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho after passing on El Bilal Toure and Moussa Dembélé.

According to journalist Ignazio Genuardi, Everton are ‘active on the file’ of the Leicester striker as their search for a new striker continues.

The Blues are determined to strengthen their forward line this summer after struggling in that area last season due to Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury.

They’ve been trying to get various players in the door but have been frustrated, with Dembélé choosing to move to Saudi Arabia and El Bilal Toure joining Atalanta instead.

Those deals are yet to be done but are in the final stages and Genuardi says it has pushed Everton to look at alternative options.

Their main objective currently appears to be Iheanacho, and he has been prioritized with Leeds United forward Wilfried Gnonto.

The Toffees are now ‘aggressive’ in their pursuit of the Nigerian, however there is no word on whether Leicester are interested in a deal.

They’ve already seen several significant exits this summer as a result of their relegation, and they may be hesitant to lose another player, especially to the team who stayed in the Premier League at their price.

In any case, it appears that Everton have now switched their focus to Iheanacho and will try to make him their new striker after other attempts have failed.
