Tottenham in serious negotiation with Juventus to sign €35m a star on permanent deal

According to the London World, Tottenham are ‘involved in negotiations’ with Juventus to sign Dejan Kulusevski on a permanent basis.

Kulusevski joined Tottenham Hotspur on loan from Juventus in January of last year and made an immediate impact. He was one of the key players who contributed considerably to the team’s Champions League qualification.

Despite being unable to recapture his prior form due to injury, Kulusevski managed to deliver 2 goals and 7 assists this season.

The Swedish player provided seven goals and sixteen assists in 57 games across all competitions during his one-and-a-half-year tenure at the club.

His loan agreement had a clause that required him to transfer if Tottenham finished in the top four.

After failing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, Spurs are no longer compelled to sign him to a permanent contract for €35 million.

As a result, according to the latest sources, Tottenham are presently negotiating a better deal for Kulusevski with Juventus, as they remain interested in signing him on a permanent basis.

Tottenham expert Alasdair Gold recently revealed that Spurs see the player as a bargain and intend to sign him even if the asking price is £30 million.

Gold believes the payment will be made over the next five years, making the deal a “no-brainer.”

It remains to be seen whether new manager Ange Postecoglou regards Kulusevski as a suitable replacement his team’s style.

However, it is apparent that the club is eager to sign the Swedish winger on a permanent basis, and speculations suggest that talks with the Italian club are already underway.
