Done deal as Everton finally won the race to sign £20m Elland Road electrifying striker this summer

Everton are expected to win the hunt for a key David Moyes target, according to West Ham United transfer news.

According to Sport Italia, Everton are close to signing Wilfried Gnonto from Leeds United, a player who West Ham were interested in.

And it’s easy to see why, with Hammers manager David Moyes wanting to add more pace and power to his front line during the summer transfer window.

However, it appears that the Scot will now have to look elsewhere…

West Ham United transfer news: David Moyes’s £20 million target has agreed to join Everton

Sport Italia reckon that Gnonto is closing in on a move from Leeds to Everton, after his agent Claudio Vigorelli travelled to London to dot the I’s and cross the T’s.

The teenager has been described as ‘unbelievable’ by his teammate Junior Firpo (Leeds Live).

In my opinion, the small Italian would be an excellent addition to the Hammers. So losing his signature to Everton is very unacceptable.

Gnonto has an explosive pace, which we are currently severely lacking on our front line.

During his first season in England, the Italian attacker scored four goals and provided four assists in 28 games for Leeds (Transfermarkt), an excellent result for someone so young.

According to Sport Mediaset, he is available for roughly €24 million (£20 million).

In my opinion, Wilfried Gnonto’s move to Everton should serve as a wake-up call for West Ham. There is no reason we should not have signed him this summer.
