Newcastle United are poised to lose a crucial player after he finally made a decision

According to reports, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are set to miss out on signing Arthur Melo.

TuttoJuve reported in June that Newcastle United were interested in signing Arthur Melo, who was on loan at Liverpool from Juventus last season.

According to the source, the Magpies want to sign the 26-year-old on loan during the summer transfer window with a view to a permanent move.

Aston Villa is also interested in Arthur, according to TuttoJuve.

Arthur Melo is on his way out of Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

Fiorentina, on the other hand, is about to sign the Brazilian sensation.

Fiorentina are close to signing the 26-year-old, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Negotiations for the current Juventus midfielder to join the Serie A team are said to be “advancing.”

Romano goes on to add that the loan will last until 2024 and that there is a buy option included in the deal for the Brazilian, with Juventus paying a portion of the midfielder’s wages in recent years.

Melo’s career has come to a halt.

The Brazilian midfielder joined Liverpool last summer, and the move was considered as a fresh start for the midfielder.

Melo joined Juventus in a highly contentious trade deal with Barcelona for fellow midfielder Miralem Pjanic in 2020.

Because the midfielder has only appeared 42 times in Serie A since joining Massimiliano Allegri’s team, a loan was arranged.

The loan to Liverpool was considered as an excellent opportunity for the Brazilian to relaunch his career.

Liverpool lacked depth in midfield, and Melo was considered as a brilliant signing for a very inexpensive loan price, with his wages partially covered by the Serie A club.

The Premier League had the option of signing the Brazilian for £32 million, but it immediately became evident that Liverpool would not do so.

Melo made just two appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side, as a slew of injuries rendered his stint at Anfield a colossal failure.

Liverpool, predictably, declined the buy option, and the midfielder is now likely to return to Italian football with Vincenzo Italiano’s Fiorentina.
