Carl Frampton Revises His Fury-Usyk Prediction Following Dubois’s Performance

Carl Frampton has made his prediction for the next undisputed heavyweight world title fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, and has indicated that Usyk’s recent performance against Daniel Dubois has altered his thinking considerably.

Despite Usyk won almost every round before halting Dubois in the ninth, a contentious fifth-round low blow ruling was the most talked-about aspect of the fight, and a narrative has emerged that Usyk is vulnerable to the body.

Frampton stated on Up Front with Simon Jordan that he believes this and now considers Fury to be a “strong favourite.”

“I believe Fury is now the clear favorite in that fight.”

I always thought he was the favorite in the fight, but after watching Usyk’s performance against Dubois, it appears that he can be physically harmed.

Fury is more than just his stature; he can box and is strong and resilient. But he has that monster frame as well, and I believe that is what will win him the battle.”

Contracts for Fury and Usyk to fight for all the marbles in Saudi Arabia have finally been inked after months of discussion, albeit there has been no confirmation of a date or location as of yet.

The battle is scheduled to take place in late December or early January, with confirmation likely following ‘The Gypsy King’s’ highly polarizing crossover bout with former UFC heavyweight world champion Francis Ngannou on October 28th in Riyadh.
