Surprise news Wolves boss Gary O’Neil has finally Beyer a superstar midfield from Real madrid

Wolves boss Gary O’Neil has named an unchanged side for this afternoon’s Premier League game at newly promoted Luton Town.

O’Neil sticks with the same XI that started last weekend’s 3-1 defeat at home to Liverpool. So, Jose Sa starts behind a back four of Nelson Semedo, Craig Dawson, Max Kilman and Rayan Ait-Nouri. Mario Lemina, Joao Gomes and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde are in midfield with a front three of Hwang Hee-Chan, Matheus Cunha and Pedro Neto.

Wolves are in search of their second league victory of the campaign to add to their 1-0 win at Everton. O’Neil’s side have been beaten at Manchester United and Crystal Palace as well as at home to Brighton and Liverpool to leave them 16th. They face a Luton side still looking for their first points of the season having been beaten by Brighton, Chelsea, West Ham and Fulham in their four games so far.

There were plenty of reasons to be cheerful from Wolves’ last game, or at least from the first half, as they deservedly led Liverpool 1-0 at the break thanks to Hwang-Hee-Chan’s early goal. However, the visitors took over after the break as two late goals condemned O’Neil’s side to defeat.

Wolves were left to rue missed chances when they had Liverpool under pressure in the first half. That proved costly when some defensive mistakes allowed Jurgen Klopp’s side to turn their second half superiority into goals.

This game kicks off a busy week for Wolves who are at Ipswich in the Carabao Cup third round on Tuesday and then host Manchester City next Saturday.

Wolves: Sa, Semedo, Dawson, Kilman, Ait-Nouri, Gomes, Lemina, Bellegarde, Hwang, Cunha, Neto
