Jason Lee has heaped praise on two Nottingham Forest players after their efforts on Monday night. The Reds drew 1-1 with Burnley at the City Ground to go eighth in the Premier League.
A wonder goal by Callum Hudson-Odoi ensured that Forest finished with a share of the spoils. The Reds had trailed at the interval after a well-taken goal by Zeki Amdouni.
Forest are made of stern stuff these days though. They have players all over the park who can cause damage and at £3 million, Hudson-Odoi might just prove to be unbelievable business.
The 22-year-old has lost his way a little bit in recent years. Last season he was with Bayer Leverkusen but struggled for game time and managed just two goal contributions all season
Under Steve Cooper, he will hope to kick on this season. Alongside players like Taiwo Awoniyi and Morgan Gibbs-White, he could thrive and he should quickly become pretty important.
It was a truly amazing goal that saw Forest claim something here. Lee was certainly impressed and as someone who is a regular at matches these days, he took to Instagram.
He saved his praise for two players, with Hudson-Odoi and Awoniyi both earning the plaudits. He said: “Great hold-up play from Taiwo and a brilliant striker from Callum. Welcome to the City Ground.”
Both players were in fine form against Burnley. Forest did just about deserve a point from the clash and hopefully, they can now kick on and start winning more points as the season progresses.
