The forward then moved into the Under-21s, and has featured in the UEFA Youth League and Premier League 2.

Making the move to the Norwich City, Ogwuru said: “It feels great to sign for the club. When the project was presented to me, I felt like it was a great opportunity.

“The facilities here at the Lotus Training Centre are amazing, it really looks like a place where I can develop myself.

“At Manchester City you learn a lot of football education, you understand the game better.”

Speaking of his role models with the Sky Blues, the youngster said his good friend Rico Lewis was his inspiration. “I was playing with him a year ago and in six months he’s just shot up into the first team.

“It shows that if you are patient and you wait and work hard, your time will come. That’s got to be me now.

“I think I’ll be able to bring that here and implement that into my games with the Under-21s.”

On his own achievements and goals with the club, Ogwuru said: “I want to get a good run of games in.

“If we can get into the league knock-outs that would be a great achievement and I’d like to hopefully get a few training sessions in with the first team.”
