Fans express joy as 27-year-old snub clubs to join Leeds United this summer

Leeds United are ‘set to clinch’ the signing of Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara.

That is according to the Herald, who report the two clubs are now in the ‘closing stages’ of discussions over a fee with Kamara having already agreed personal terms.

It is said that Kamara will cost somewhere in the region of £5 million with Daniel Farke finally having given his green light last week after several weeks of speculation.

Fabrizio Romano reported over the weekend that Leeds had finally submitted an official offer for Kamara with the 27-year-old keen on the move and a deal set to be completed this week.

Leeds remain in the market for at least one new midfielder before Friday’s deadline and of the players linked, Kamara feels the closest.

Lewis O’Brien, Ao Tanaka and Kenny McLean have all also been linked with a switch to Elland Road, but are not as far down the line as Kamara.

It is unclear as to whether Leeds would add another number eight on top of signing Kamara with a new number 10 also on the agenda.

Leeds had finally appeared as though they were close to getting Nadiem Amiri over the line, but according to Sky in Germany, the deal is off again.

The next few days are likely to be full of twists and turns as Leeds look to get four or five signings over the line.
