Deal Leeds United in hot battle to sign Grady Diangana as West Brom make final decision

Leeds United are in the hunt to secure a late deal for West Brom forward Grady Diangana, according to Alan Nixon.

The Sun journalist reported on his Patreon on 27 August that the Baggies are hoping to sell the 25-year-old to raise some cash before the transfer window closes.

He said the Whites and Premier League side Burnley are “keeping an eye on developments” as they ponder whether or not to make a move for the English winger.

There are real question marks around whether it’s worth Leeds making a move for Diangana this summer after he’s seemingly been made available for a transfer by West Brom.

Do the Whites really need to spend money on another winger if Willy Gnonto is set to stay at the club and is someone that’s out of favour with the Baggies a player they should be looking to sign?

Diangana has proven during his time at the Hawthorns that he can be a quality operator on his day at Championship level, but he has only scored 15 goals and laid on 11 assists in 129 appearances, proving that he is largely inconsistent.

He also hasn’t featured since February through injury and, although he is now back in training, he did lose his place in the Albion side under Carlos Corberan before he was sidelined earlier this year.

Perhaps the Whites should be looking to improve other areas of their squad before making a move for the winger, who is reportedly valued at about £7million.

In other Leeds United news, the club are looking to make a last-ditch move to sign a Premier League midfielder.
