Podence has been mentioned as a potential blockbuster signing for Brendan Rodgers in recent weeks, although there has always been a hint of optimism laced in with reports.
The 27-year-old has less than 12 months to run on his current Wolves deal, and there are hopes that Celtic could sign him for a reduced price.
Yet, the Premier League side were still said to be wanting as much as £12m for him recently (Anthony Joseph). It seems unlikely that we would pay that much for a player we could sign on a pre-contract in a matter of months.
