Report Newscastle finally been link with a move to sign PL fastest midfielder

Newcastle United are seemingly not giving up hope of signing Lewis Hall from Chelsea this summer.

The 18-year-old was linked with a move to St James’ Park earlier this month, but it was claimed that Chelsea had no plans to sell the teenage sensation.

Instead, they wanted to loan Hall out. It looked like that was going to happen, with the Chelsea youngster seemingly set to join Crystal Palace for the 2023/24 season.

Official confirmation appeared to be the only thing missing from that deal, but it looks like Newcastle are not giving up.

The Daily Mail stated that the Magpies are ‘exploring’ a deal for Hall, and now the Northern Echo have provided an update of their own.

Newcastle looking to sign Lewis Hall from Chelsea

According to the Northern Echo, Newcastle are talking about signing Hall from Chelsea before the transfer window closes.

They state that the Magpies want to complete a loan deal, but would like any temporary switch to include a clause that will allow them to sign Hall permanently next year. Sadly, the Northern Echo states that Chelsea are not interested in agreeing a deal like that.

Alternatively, Newcastle could make a permanent offer for Hall now, but the Northern Echo state that any proposal would have to be for staggered payments. That is due to financial fair play limiting how much money Newcastle can spend.

This comes after Chelsea broke the British transfer record to sign Moises Caicedo and plan to spend another £60million on Romeo Lavia…
