Tottenham submit formal bid to sign PL electrifying striker this summer

According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur are intending to make a formal approach for Gent star Gift Emmanuel Orban before the end of the summer window.

After agreeing to sell Harry Kane, the North London club is reportedly exploring signing a new center-forward this summer as a potential replacement.

Spurs have been linked with Jonathan David, Mehdi Taremi, and Romelu Lukaku, but Orban is suddenly emerging as a real contender.

Tottenham are intending to launch a formal approach to sign Orban before the end of the transfer window, according to the Evening Standard. However, the source indicates that Spurs would not formalise their interest in the Nigerian just yet, preferring to clear out their roster before adding further firepower.

According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham are trying to sell Tanguy Ndombele, Hugo Lloris, Djed Spence, Sergio Reguilon, and Japhet Tanganga, while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg may be permitted to leave if the proper offer is made by potential suitors such as Atletico Madrid.

So it remains to be seen whether the Lilywhites would make a formal approach to sign Orban after cutting their roster in the coming days.

Since joining Gent in January, the attacker has had a successful season in the Belgian top division. So it looks that Spurs have taken notice of the African’s recent strong performances.

The 21-year-old is quick, strong, and technically sound, and he can dribble past opposing defenders in tight spaces. He also excels at link-up play, has a knack for scoring goals from distance, and is effective at taking set-pieces.

The teenager can finish his opportunities and has an eye for long-range passing. Orban, who is rated at roughly £17 million by Transfermarkt, is an exceptionally gifted player who possesses the skills required to thrive in the Premier League. So, if Tottenham sign him this summer, he would be a wise long-term investment for the club.

It will be intriguing to see if Spurs can eventually get his signing to enhance their attack during this transfer window.
