Tottenham have consider bringing in £22m striker as Richarlison’s replacement this summer

Spurs are allegedly interested in signing Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer.

That’s according to a report from 90min, who also revealed who Spurs are looking for in the center-forward position this transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou is still unsure of who will be his starting striker for the remainder of the season.

If Harry Kane stays at the club despite Bayern Munich’s desire, the obvious answer is Harry Kane.

So far, three bids have been rejected, but the German behemoths do not appear to be discouraged.

If he does leave, Tottenham will have to find a successor.

Richarlison, a Brazilian international, would fit Postecoglou’s system.

However, he comes into this season after scoring just once in the league last year.

Tottenham are now considering bringing in Aleksandar Mitrovic to fill that vacuum.

Mitrovic had a solid season at Craven Cottage last season, which would have been considerably better if he hadn’t been suspended for eight games.

He also has a fan in the Spurs squad in the form of Ryan Sessegnon.

Tottenham is pondering a move for Mitrovic.

When Sessegnon and Mitrovic were teammates at Fulham, the winger once commented, “He’s on fire right now.”

“All you have to do is keep feeding him the ball, and you know he’s going to score goals for us.”

Mitrovic cost Fulham £22 million in 2018 after assisting them in achieving their first promotion.

Fulham have frequently moved between the top two divisions in recent seasons, but ultimately stayed in the Premier League last year.

Mitrovic has been an integral part of Fulham’s recent success, including breaking the Championship goalscoring record in 2022.

Tottenham may be interested in Mitrovic due of parallels between him and Kane.

They’re both excellent at holding the ball, and Mitrovic’s link-up play is an underestimated aspect of his game.

He also gets on the end of opportunities in the box on a regular basis, though Tottenham may be turned off by Fulham’s £52 million asking price amid interest from Saudi Arabia.
