Leeds United are about to miss out on a target after Stuttgart agreed to a deal

Stuttgart have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to sign Leeds United target Alexander Nubel.

Nubel is poised to leave Bayern Munich this summer, with the Bavarians aiming to offload him after a two-year loan spell at Monaco.

Leeds were interested in signing the goalkeeper, but he prefers to transfer to Stuttgart, who have already completed a deal for him.

According to Sky Deutschland, Stuttgart has signed Nubel on loan, despite Bayern Munich’s desire to sell.

Stuttgart will pay a loan fee of €1 million for the shot-stopper, and the transaction will not include an option to buy.

Nubel will now go immediately to connect with Stuttgart and complete the changeover.

Leeds United are still looking for an experienced goalkeeper and are interested in Newcastle United’s Karl Darlow.

However, Bournemouth are also interested in Darlow and are presently leading the fight to sign him from Newcastle.
