Done deal Everton finally won the battle to sign Villarreal star striker in few days

According to Fabrizio Romano, Everton have finalised the loan signing of Arnaut Danjuma from Villarreal for the 2023/24 season.

On Sunday (23 July), the journalist stated on his personal Twitter account that the player had finished his medical and that the transfer formalities had been signed.

Danjuma joins from the Spanish club until June 2024, having played the second half of last season with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

“Everton finally have Danjuma after a crazy six months,” Romano tweeted. “The medical was completed yesterday, and the paperwork was completed.”

“Straight loan from Villarreal valid until June 2024.”

Everton supporters have not had much great news in recent times, particularly when it comes to the summer transfer window.

Manager Sean Dyche really has been limited to what he can do in terms of new players, with the signature of Ashley Young on a free typifying the tricky situation that the boss finds himself in.

The cheaper alternatives have now been extended with the loan signing of Danjuma, who will undoubtedly increase Everton’s prospects of success next season.

The attacker didn’t receive many chances to shine in the Premier League during his previous stint, but he should be more than ready to prove his doubters wrong in the coming months.

The Netherlands international scored eight goals in all competitions last season, and while he may set higher goals for himself next season, he is still an upgrade on Dyche’s current options in the final third, owing primarily to Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury issues.
