Having a right-back with a strong attacking threat forces the other team’s left-back to make a difficult decision. Unless their colleagues assist them, they would have to either leave the current Saints gem in acres of space or enable Almiron to meander infield to unleash a left-footed missile.
As a result, signing Livramento, who has been hailed a “future star” by ex-teammate Theo Walcott, may offer Howe with a dream defensive and attacking tandem on the right side.
