Long-term admirers of Harry Kane has made his transfer impossible

Tottenham Hotspur and England captain Harry Kane’s future is far from certain. Unlike a year ago, when the striker publicly expressed his desire to leave north London amid significant interest from Manchester City, Kane is now deafeningly silent.

Kane, who turns 30 next week, is thought to have received many points of contact from Bayern Munich and has all but given his word to the German giants that he desires to join them this summer.

Bayern executives have already landed in hot water over Kane’s behavior and comments, publicly stressing that the England star must “keep his word,” which woul Levy is said to be enraged by Bayern’s tactics and the brazen manner with which they are attempting to steal the clld eventually lead to Tottenham “buckling” and reaching a deal.

Tottenham’s notoriously tough chairman Danieub’s most prolific asset.

Manchester United and manager Erik ten Hag have the potential to enter things at this fairly unexpected moment.

Just over a year ago, Levy and Spurs made it difficult for Kane to join City, merely out of a stubborn refusal to allow such a talent to join a Premier League competitor.

City, for their part, concentrated their efforts on luring Erling Haaland to English shores. Since then, United has had the same reaction from the powers that be in north London, with Spurs fearful of what Kane could achieve for another Premier League team and the potential supremacy he could give to an old opponent.

Bayern Munich had been encouraged by Tottenham’s presumed preference to transfer Kane overseas if they had to sell, but the Bavarians’ latest actions may have turned the situation on its head. are still looking for a central striker this summer, with Ten Hag yet to properly replace club legend Cristiano Ronaldo. The Red Devils have the resources to meet Levy’s ambitious demands, but they have a trump card in the form of Anthony Martial.

Gameweek 38 Ones to watch: Harry Kane

The troubled France striker has been on Tottenham’s radar since his Monaco days, with Spurs later placing a proposal on United’s table for the player in 2017, only to have it quickly rejected.

A like-for-like transfer may thus benefit all parties, but United would almost certainly need to sweeten the transaction with a cash incentive.

Any conversations would imply Levy withdrawing from his position of not selling Kane to a Premier League opponent, albeit Bayern’s public flaunting may have played right into United’s hands in this regard.

Spurs are also said to be interested in Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, who was recently stripped of his captaincy at Old Trafford ahead of a summer move.
