The report claims that Maguire earns around £200,000-a-week at United and he could leave for around £30million.

That is far less than the £85 million United spent Leicester City to get Maguire in 2019, but the Red Devils may trim their losses.

The Sun stated at the time that Spurs were simply unwilling to match the money put up by Leicester.

Former Tottenham defender Danny Rose has confirmed that the club was interested in signing Maguire at the time.

Pochettino was ‘all over’ Maguire and wanted him at Tottenham in 2020, according to Rose, but it wasn’t to be.

In a bizarre twist of destiny, Pochettino could finally land Maguire after all, potentially beating Tottenham to his signature.
