Tottenham is confident of acquiring the services of 26-year-old Juventus massive defender this summer

Tottenham Hotspur are hopeful of gaining the services of Gleison Bremer, a 26-year-old Juventus center-back.

Tottenham Hotspurs are interested in purchasing Gleison Bremer, according to Football Insider. The future of the 26-year-old defender has been uncertain recently due to Juventus’ financial predicament, and he might be on the move barely a year after joining them.

Bremer rose to prominence while playing for Torino. His steady performances earned him a £43 million transfer to the Italian giants ahead of the 2022-2 season.

He has gone from strength to strength since making the move to Juventus. The 26-year-old centre-back featured in a total of 43 matches in his very first season. He was quite impressive and hardly put a foot wrong throughout the campaign.

The Brazilian international even scored five goals and he started in each of his appearances. He has become an integral part of Massimiliano Allegri’s setup. However, they might be forced to offload him in the ongoing window.

Juventus are in a very crunch situation because of Financial Fair Play concerns and they are looking to raise a significant sum by offloading their stars. The Old Lady are open to the idea of offloading the 26-year-old who has a contract with the club that runs until the summer of 2027.

Having spent around £43 million, the Italian giants are looking to recoup the money they had spent. And, they could let him leave for as low as £42.7 million despite his exceptional form over the past 12 months.

Meanwhile, Spurs are aware of the situation and are looking to exploit it. They are in search of defensive reinforcement and are ready to strike a bargain deal for the 26-year-old centre-back. The London club are confident about striking a deal for his services.

The Brazilian center-back has been on Spurs’ radar for some time. They were interested in signing him back in the day before he joined Juventus. Meanwhile, their new manager, Ange Postecoglou, is a big fan of the 26-year-old and wants him to stay at the club for next season.

Postecoglou is anxious for a new left-sided centre-back, and Bremer, who can play on either side, may be a wonderful match for the team.
