Bayern Munich still in battle with Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund to sign €50M France sparking midfielder

According to Foot Mercato, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayern Munich are still interested in Nice midfielder and France international Khéphren Thuram (22).Following his breakout season with Les Aiglons, the 22-year-old has piqued the curiosity of a slew of top-tier European clubs. The Riviera club has a contract with the youngest son of renowned French center-back Lilian Thuram that expires in 2025.

Thuram was expected to stay at Nice for another season in Ligue 1 in order to be called up to Didier Deschamps’ France squad for Euro 2024, according to L’Équipe on Tuesday.

A summer transfer, according to the French daily, is still possible. According to Foot Mercato, the INEOS-owned Ligue 1 team would be willing to listen to any club willing to pay €50 million for Marcus Thuram’s younger brother. Nice would part ways with Thuram if a €50 million bid is made, according to the outlet. Unfortunately for newly-appointed Nice coach Francesco Farioli, who plans to use the France international in a three-man midfield, numerous clubs have expressed interest but have yet to make a bid.

Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Thuram, but his price is too high, according to Foot Mercato. Thuram is still highly regarded by Liverpool in the Premier League, and Thomas Tuchel wants him to bolster Bayern Munich’s midfield. The former AS Monaco youth product is said to want to play in a continental competition next season, which Nice cannot provide. Thuram, on the other hand, has no intention of forcing a departure from the Allianz Riviera.
