Fans in tears as 26-year-old Newcastle magnificent striker set to leave club this summer

Newcastle United could sell Allan Saint-Maximin for £40 million this summer, with Al-Ahli planning a move for the Frenchman during the transfer window.

According to a rumor in the Sunday Mirror (9/7; page 72), the winger could get a contract for £300,000 per year in Saudi Arabia.

Allan Saint-Maximin is the most high-profile player that could depart Newcastle in this transfer window. Despite being the only dynamic player in the Magpies’ ranks for some time in recent years, the 26-year-old has struggled since Eddie Howe arrived.

Saint-Maximin wanted at Al-Ahli

At times, he practically carried the team. Newcastle, on the other hand, has risen to a higher level in the last 18 months. They will play in the Champions League the following season.

And they didn’t need Saint-Maximin to be the star of that side. As a result, his departure could occur throughout this time frame.

Al-Ahli are considering a £40 million move for Saint-Maximin, according to the Sunday Mirror (9/7; page 72). They might also offer him a deal paying £300,000 each week.

In this transfer window, the club has already signed Roberto Firmino and Édouard Mendy. And, of course, the Public Investment Fund owns the bulk of the company, which will undoubtedly aid in negotiations with Newcastle.

Much depends on Saint-Maximin’s desire to relocate to the Kingdom at this point in his career. In recent weeks, the Saudi league has managed to attract several younger players.

If he is eager to travel, it may be a good decision for everyone. Newcastle will need to increase their transfer budget in order to be competitive next season. And collecting £40 million for someone who played a more minor role last season would be fantastic business.

Some Newcastle fans would be disappointed if Saint-Maximin left. He has a ‘breathtaking’ day. However, in order to take the next step ahead, the Magpies may need to be pretty harsh in the market.
