Arsenal appears to be eyeing two of Tottenham center-back targets

According to journalist Dean Jones, Arsenal are interested in signing Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi and Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba, both of whom are rumored to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Tottenham’s search of a left-sided centre-back has gotten a lot of attention in recent weeks, with Tapsoba understood to be near the top of the club’s wishlist.

In fact, Fabrizio Romano claimed on Friday morning that the Leverkusen defender remained Spurs’ top target ahead of Wolfsburg’s Micky van de Ven, with Ange Postecolgou’s side said to be in contact with the 24-year-old.

Meanwhile, Guehi has been linked with a move to Tottenham, with London World reporting on Wednesday that Palace had set a £60 million price tag on the defender in response to Tottenham’s interest.

According to the source, the England international ‘ticks a lot of boxes’ for the Lilywhites, as he is young, homegrown, and has Premier League experience.

Spurs and Arsenal are both interested in Tapsoba and Guehi.

Jones, on the other hand, has stated that both Guehi and Tapsoba are on Mikel Arteta’s wishlist.

“Across the back line, they have also shown a fondness for Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi,” the journalist wrote in his column for GiveMeSport. Edmond Tapsoba of Bayer Leverkusen, Mohamed Simakan of RB Leipzig, and, to a lesser extent, Perr Schuurs of Torino.”

Arsenal’s primary centre-back target at the moment is Jurrien Timber, and their efforts are concentrated on completing a move for the Ajax star.

As a result, I don’t believe Spurs would face too much competition from their North London rivals for Tapsoba or Guehi.
