Fabrizio Romano shares exciting news Spurs are interested in signing 23-year-old Israel national striker

Fabrizio Romano has given an intriguing Tottenham Hotspur transfer update concerning winger Manor Solomon, with the player scheduled for a Spurs medical and contract signing in the next 24 hours.

Who will Tottenham sign this summer?

Ange Postecoglou, the new manager of the Lilywhites, has watched as chairman Daniel Levy rushes rapidly to secure three key signings before Solomon.

Indeed, after an 18-month loan term, the north Londoners have signed Dejan Kulusevski on a permanent basis from Juventus, with goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and James Maddison following him.

The latter pair sign long-term contracts with Empoli and Leicester City, respectively, for £17.4 million and £40 million.

Postecoglou is unconcerned about their mentality and approach, citing it as a major attraction for Tottenham.

“It’s not just about the talent that they bring as footballers,” the Australian explained.

“It’s also what they bring as people, because we’re going to play football, which requires a certain personality and character.”

“Both of those men have a lot of it. When I spoke to them, I could hear it in their voices. I talked to both of them before we signed them, and I knew they were the proper types to bring into the dressing room.”

Spurs are also rumored to be looking for a new center-back, with Postecoglou aiming to shore up a shaky defense. In terms of named transfer targets, Wolfsburg’s Micky van de Ven, Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba, and Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo have recently been prominently connected.

Returning to Solomon, renown transfer writer Romano has revealed an interesting news on Twitter, with Spurs generally tipped to sign the Fulham loanee.

The journalist claims Spurs supporters can expect plenty of action tomorrow, as a medical is scheduled for Solomon, and the 23-year-old is set to sign his contracts as a new Tottenham player.

The Israel international forward looks set to join Kulusevski, Vicario and Maddison as a permanent Spurs star, with FIFA rulings allowing Solomon to freely terminate his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk, due to the ongoing situation in Ukraine..

“More on Manor Solomon deal. Medical tests at Tottenham planned later today will take place on Thursday morning no issues, just re-scheduled in the last few hours,” Romano said on Twitter.

“Solomon will sign the contract this week as documents have been checked. Deal done.”

The Portuguese drew particular attention to Solomon’s directness and strength in one-v-one situations, an aspect of his attacking style which should excite Spurs supporters.

“He has scored some important goals for us,” Silva explained.

“More importantly, it has boosted his confidence, and he is unique among the players in what he has.”

“His one-v-one situation is really strong, and coming from the left, he is important.”

What have others said about Manor Solomon?

Fulham manager Marco Silva praised Solomon during his loan time at Craven Cottage, calling him a “exceptional athlete” by members of the Israeli press.
