According to Turkish football journalist Volkan Demir, Newcastle United and Real Madrid are interested in signing Fenerbahce wonderkid Arda Guler.
Demir, who is well-known for his ties to Fenerbahce, stated Guler has two offers on his YouTube account.
Newcastle United is said to have made an offer of €40 million for Guler. To secure a trade, the Magpies are willing to pay more than his €17.5m release clause.
Guler, on the other hand, wants assurances that he will be a first-team player.
Real Madrid has also made an offer to the 18-year-old attacking midfielder.
Guler had a strong 2022-23 season, scoring six goals and assisting seven times in 35 games across all competitions.
He has also received four Turkish national team caps.
Real Madrid are apparently willing to pay Fenerbahce’s €17.5 million release clause for Guler, but not to grant him a first-team berth right away.
Los Blancos would rather loan Guler back to Fenerbahce for the 2023-24 season so that he can continue to develop.
Guler, on the other hand, is not on board with this strategy. He aspires to play for Real Madrid, but he wants to join the club right immediately rather than being loaned out.
