40-year-old has been emerges as managerial radar in Leeds United rule out

Leeds United’s search for a new manager continues as they seek to replace Sam Allardyce. Next season, the Whites will seek for an immediate promotion from the Championship.

They now have the opportunity to bolster their ranks as the transfer market reopens. Here’s a look at some of the most recent club news and rumors…

According to Football Insider, Leeds have ‘ruled out’ signing Carlos Corberan this summer in order to assist his present team West Brom. The 40-year-old Spaniard has been extensively linked with a return to Elland Road, but he may now be staying at the Hawthorns ahead of next season.

Corberan worked for the Whites from 2017 until 2020, first as a U23 coach before joining Marcelo Bielsa’s backroom staff. He then moved to Huddersfield Town, where he led the Terriers to the play-off final, although they were defeated at Wembley by Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest.

According to the Daily Mail, Leeds could turn to Patrick Viera as their hunt for a new manager continues, with Daniel Farke and Scott Parker also cited as potential options. Following his dismissal by Crystal Palace earlier this year, the 46-year-old will be considering his next move in the game.

Viera was a tough-tackling midfielder who played for Arsenal, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Manchester City before hanging up his boots in 2011. He has since moved into management, having worked in the dugouts of New York City and OGC Nice before arriving at Selhurst Park in 2021.
