Tottenham are said to have launched a £50 million approach for Maddison and his Leicester teammate Harvey Barnes lately (Daily Mail). The Foxes are anticipated to reject that offer, although Maddison is said to prefer a move to London (Independent).
While Tottenham may have made the first move in their pursuit of Maddison, it appears Newcastle United have used other means to entice the playmaker to St James’ Park.
Both Callum Wilson and James Maddison are currently on international duty with England, and the former has taken to Instagram to send a clear message to his teammate about where he should be playing football next season.
Wilson posted a photo of himself pulling Maddison in training for the Three Lions “Newcastle is this way” and tagged the Leicester player.

We should instruct Harry Kane to begin whispering in James Maddison’s ear, since he is a player we should do everything possible to sign this summer.
In any case, I believe Maddison would be better off picking Spurs, where he would be a shining star rather than becoming buried in the machine at Newcastle.
