On two instances, Arsenal ‘tried to sign’ Nottingham Forest’s star.
Arsenal reportedly attempted to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Danilo twice before.
The 22-year-old midfielder joined Forest from Brazilian club Palmeiras in the January transfer window, and he has scored three goals in 13 starts from midfield as the Reds confirmed their Premier League status.
He is now being considered for a comeback to the Brazilian national team, as it has been discovered that Arsenal attempted to sign the Forest star twice earlier.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal attempted to sign Danilo last summer, but both bids were rejected for “various reasons” that were not specified in the story.
Danilo has been linked with a move to one of the ‘bigger’ Premier League clubs. Last month, former teammate Dudu commented, “For me, he needs to play in the Premier League.” I often tell him, “You have to play for Manchester United or Arsenal.”
“It happens at those nightclubs.” However, you must maintain your cool and keep your head in place. He is a player who marks, attacks, provides space for offensive midfielders, and assists in defense. In my perspective, he is the complete player.”
