Newcastle United in hot battle with PSG to sign Europe’s best finisher

With Newcastle being in the Champions League, they will have enormous clout in attracting top players.

Meanwhile, Diaby is a sought-after talent, with Manchester United and Arsenal allegedly interested.

The Magpies are reportedly in a ‘tug of war’ with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Diaby.

The implication is that both Newcastle and PSG are willing to spend big money to sign the 23-year-old.

Bayer appears to be willing to let Diaby leave this summer, with the club eager to cash in on their asset.

Newcastle are reportedly preparing to break their transfer record for sigh Diaby, according to the Northern Echo.

Alexander Isak, who arrived from Real Sociedad for £63 million last summer, is the club’s record acquisition.\

Diaby has been described as ‘one of Europe’s brightest forwards’ and a potential ‘next superstar’ for France.

Similarly, scouting website Breaking the Lines named the France international “one of the best finishers in Europe.”

Diaby has an outstanding 14 goals and 11 assists from 47 club games this season.
